Sadly. I mean, they didn't make a whole lot of good games, but this was their masterpiece. And, this game really taught me a lot about Greek and Egyptian mythology. The only thing that made this game lack was the fact that a lot of the monsters seemed to just be reskins of others.
I was introduced to this game through my cousin who helped make the second Titans quest "Immortal Throne" who gave me the game as a gift. This picture is beyond cool to me and I would love to see you draw a ponified version of the second game cover. I'm also a Greek myth fan
Hi there! That's interesting that your cousin were one of the developers, tell him he did a good job. (Dream was broken beyond belief yet amazingly fun). Maybe you can show him this picture? ^^ I'd like to draw the Immortal Throne boxart, for sure. When, I do not know.
Wow, very striking! My only complaint is the rather distracting plot-shot that makes the drawing feel slightly dirty, but it doesn't seem that that was the intent, so I guess it's excusable. Great drawing!
Oh, wow, well this definitely is a big step for you when it comes to your artwork, isn't it dear? This must have taken quite some time I can only imagine, and I really am impressed! Well, there's a lot to look at and really, I'm sort of at a loss on what to touch on first but I suppose I should start with the basics... that usually is a good place.
The overall impression of this piece is very good; you've worked out a really engaging composition, with some great use of lighting and the result is that the eye is inspired to move around and take in all the different aspects of the scene at once (or at least, my own eyes are). I'm pretty impressed with your attention to the background, especially in regards to that temple-looking building as I myself really hate painting backgrounds... it's one of my greatest weaknesses as a visual artist I am well aware, and also explains why the majority of my gallery is full of simpler, cop-out, character-centric portraits.
Anyhow though, digressions. Moving onto technique itself, I have to say that I really, really like Twilight here. Namely, I am very impressed with the soft shading and highlights all over her body and armor, and I really enjoy a lot of the little touches, such as the fact that you can see part of her actual tail underneath her hair (I know that may sound like a silly thing to mention, and it is a small detail, but still it always amazes me how many people forget that ponies do have actual real tails underneath their hair). The angles are great here, the idea is great and nicely executed, and if I may suggest anything it would only be to try cutting back on the amount of layers you use as an experiment and/or learning process... in my own experience at least it actually does help quite a bit with blending the colors as well/shading, and you might find that in some ways it actually can make things easier.
Well, long comment is long and I apologize, but you did ask for my feedback and I did my best to let you know everything I thought. Overall very good work, and I really hope you will keep it up and continue to make such strides!
Wow, really wow Your signature has never before been more elegantly placed on such a fine piece of art... Totally a lasting favourite from you. Johnny Bravo may make me laugh but this one makes me stare and get lost a for a while...
Speaking of dat Twilight episode: I was a little sad that we didn't got see anything from Tartarus xD Like "Ok, I will just run to the gates of hell and deliever this beast. I will be back for tea!" ...I wanted more than that
Coincidence... I've spent a little time here and there trying to make characters in the Underlord mod that match the mane 6's attributes.
Most I've been able to nail down so far is that the pegasi have to be half Storm (weather control etc.), unicorns be half Dream (all about manipulation, like Twilight's "Want It, Need It" spell and Rarity's use of "whining"), and not sure about AJ and Pinkie.
Oh man, I remeber that game! I thought it was really cool how you got a little title for every combination of skillsets you could choose. Sadly, some skillsets were a little underpowered, and some were hilariously overpowered (I'm looking at you, Dream Magic)
